Long Time Coming
OK, I've finally decided to update (after some much-deserved pressure from the Anderson girls in Georgia and Turner in Virginia). Let's see what I can come up with for the last three weeks or so.
I've had to attend three 8-hour CPE (continuing professional education) courses. I know, listening to updates in the tax law for that long can get boring. Hey, I get paid for not doing work. I'm not going to complain.
I purchased some of these little guys this month (hopefully the ASE's MidCap Spiders turn out to be a good investment):

I was in Waynesburg for a quiz meet on November 5th. It's always great when you have the opportunity to make a trip to Greene County. We had a 45-minute delay at the Sheetz in New Castle for locking the keys in the church van after everyone got out to get breakfast and gas. Everything worked out in the end, though, so it was all good. Ran into the Ice Princess, Melodie Butler, CG, Taylor, and Matt Brewer at Waynesburg Naz. Speaking of crazy Waynesburg girls, someone sent me this picture the other day.

On election day, November 8th, I got to help with the Grove City Kiwanis' Pancake Day. My boss Bill McKnight asked me to help cook breakfast with him. Let's just say I am a "mean sausage-cooking machine" now. Haha.
As usual at the Steiner household, the tree is up earlier than ever. It was up and decorated on November 14th this year (a new record! LOL). There are tons of gifts already under it (my mom was going crazy wrapping things last week). Talk about efficient. LOL. I wouldn't be shocked if we opened everything up and had the tree down and put away before Christmas Day actually arrived. Haha. JK. I'm sure a few little kids will be over to get their gifts, so we'll probably leave it up.
And lastly my upcoming plans:
-I took tomorrow (Wednesday) off. I have a haircut scheduled for 9:30 AM, helping a relative with accounting at the Last Chance Salon in the late morning/early afternoon, and headed to a Pitt/Robert Morris basketball game in the evening with my dad (his early Christmas gift since he has never been to the Petersen Events Center yet).
-Thursday is Thanksgiving. Big spread at home. My brother and sister-in-law will be coming over. It'll be good to see them. I already got my brother his Christmas gift. The only ones left to buy for are my mom and sister-in-law. Women are so hard to shop for. LOL. JK. Pitt vs. West Virginia in the "Backyard Brawl" on ESPN at 8:00 PM (for all of you girls trying to keep up with the sports events here).
-Friday is shopping at the Grove City Outlets (a Pittsburgh District College and Career activity).
-Saturday is shopping at the Ross Park Mall in Pittsburgh (a Pittsburgh District College and Career activity) with more cool Waynesburg people. I have two tickets to the Pitt/Maine basketball game that evening as well.
-I get to do a reading for "Hanging of the Greens" on Sunday. Hard to believe Christmas is upon us.
I think that should keep me busy. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!!!

It must be nice to have district college & career events. I wish the Mid-Atlantic District would do that! After a year of my whining & trying to organize something fun(with no responses), someone else (grrr... LOL. J/K.) finally managed to get approx. 20 of us (from my church)to commit to a night of bowling (tonight). That is a rare occurance, and I'm still wondering how she managed to swing that...but anyway...
Have a Happy Thanksgiving! God bless!

The one and only mamie? I think she just wants to be cool like me... LOL. J/K. To help clarify... My nickname in high school was "Trudster," and the kids from our youth group resurected it when they found out... My boss sometimes calls me "Trud-aroma," and Holly calls me "Sherlock." I have many nicknames from various friends...but none from Bill... LOL. P.S. Bowling was a huge success! :)
