Just a quick view into my life. Feel free to comment on any of the posts listed here. Hopefully I can come up with some profound thoughts or something (but I doubt it--lol). Yeah, and I'll also try not to be too controversial. Haha. Word.

Another Year, Another Tax Season...

Yeah, it's that time of year again. Tax season is practically upon us and with that comes a jump in the number of hours I have to work. January requires 46 hours/week. February hits 50 hours/week and from March on (until April 15th) its 52 hours/week. I'm already looking forward to April 16th because that means later nights here at the office (and Saturdays too).
January has kept me busy at the church. We have a new contribution system in place for tithes and offerings and I have to teach the secretary how to use it (after teaching myself). There are W-2s and 1099s to be completed, 2004 giving statements to sign and pass out, quarterly filings with the IRS, principal-only payments to be made on the mortgage, etc. It's crazy, but I kind of enjoy doing it. Hey, I guess somebody has to! Anyways, I have the day off this Friday (in replace of Monday for New Years, a day I had to work because the company needed me to take inventory at a clients in New Castle) and I am going to head on over to the church to get all of the "financial stuff" squared away. I love hanging out at the church (any church for that matter). I guess you can call me a "Church Rat". When I really sit down and think about it: What better place could there be to work at than in a church? I would definitely love a job like that.
Should I try to throw some accountant humor in here? Eh, maybe not. Am I really your typical accountant? One thing I know to be true: Unsweetened iced tea is the official drink of accountants everywhere! Word.
